6. Toiminnan seuranta ja arviointi
Seuraamme omaa vastuullisuustyötämme säännöllisesti kyselyiden ja auditointien avulla. Arvioimme saavutuksiamme suhteessa asetettuihin tavoitteisiin ja korjaamme suuntaa tarvittaessa.

OY'S SUSTAINABLE TOURISM PROGRAM
Matkapojat Oy is committed to promoting sustainable tourism in all its activities. We have taken an active role in mitigating climate change. We protect biodiversity and respect human rights and local culture. We are aware of the impact of the tourism industry on the environment and society, and we work purposefully to minimize those impacts.
Goals
We are committed to reducing our CO₂ equivalent emissions by 50% by the year 2027 (base year 2023) and achieving climate neutrality by the year 2030. This goal guides all our activities and decision-making.
Actions to achieve the goals
1. Staff expertise and commitment
All our staff are trained to understand the significance and requirements of sustainableaction in the tourism sector. All staff have completed the Travelife basic training (Tour operators and sustainability). The company's management and supervisory level have completed Sustainability management training. The staff is committed to applying what they have learned in their daily lives and decision-making. All new employees receive basic training, and managerial or leadership level staff are trained to management level. The education of the staff is updated as required by the Travelife certification.

We have prepared clear operating instructions and sustainability criteria for our staff and partners. These guidelines concretely direct how sustainability is reflected in daily work and services.

We offer our partners support and expertise in the development of responsible practices. Our goal is to build partnerships based on shared values and objectives of sustainability.
5. Considering sustainability criteria in the selection of travel destinations
In selecting travel destinations, we take into account the level of sustainability of the destination as much as possible, and we actively promote sustainable development either through partners or directly through the authorities of the destinations.6. Monitoring and evaluation of actions
Our sustainability efforts are regularly monitored through surveys and audits. We assess our achievements against the established objectives and adjust our actions if necessary.
